UFG appoints Stephanie Geer as vice president, surety claims

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Tuesday, July 9, 2024

UFG Insurance is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Geer as vice president, surety claims, effective July 1, 2024. In this role, she will be responsible for the overall operational performance of surety claims, reporting directly to UFG Vice President and Surety Business Unit Leader Kyanna Saylor.

Woman smiling at camera.Geer has extensive surety claims experience, previously serving in leadership roles at two surety companies in Des Moines. Most recently, she held the title of regional vice president of claims for a region that included Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Her past experience also includes serving as an assistant claims manager and senior surety counsel.

“Stephanie is an accomplished leader with a passion for people development and a proven record in developing strategic initiatives to optimize claims management,” said Saylor. “I am thrilled to have her on board as we continue to execute strategies to drive long-term profitability while delivering the responsive, knowledgeable and trusted service our partners depend on at UFG Surety.”

Geer earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and a JD from the University of Iowa College of Law. She also holds the Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding and Chartered property Casualty Underwriter professional designations.
