And we’re proud to recognize those who go above and beyond through our Go Beyond Award in remembrance of former president and CEO Scotty McIntyre, Jr.
Scotty always viewed insurance as a people business — a fundamental he instilled in the heart of UFG’s corporate culture. He chose to go beyond numbers to seek the human side of the industry through every interaction with agents, policyholders and employees. It’s in that same spirit, UFG annually recognizes its agents and employees for exceptional community service and philanthropy.
- Two winners are chosen each year:
One UFG employee and one partner agency employee. - Each recipient receives a trophy
for recognition of their achievement. - And a $5,000 donation to a nonprofit
of their choice in celebration of their outstanding work.
Nominating a candidate
Nominations can only be made for specific individuals — groups or organizations will not be accepted. Any employee of UFG or a UFG partner agency can nominate one or more candidates in either of the two categories. Nominations are accepted from January 1 through June 30 each calendar year. Self-nominations are accepted from UFG employees only.Selection process
We value each submission we receive and appreciate the time and effort the nominator takes to submit a nomination. A selection committee is made up of a team of employees from across the branches and from various departments across the company. The selection committee reviews each application to narrow the field of candidates down to one winner in each category.
