UFG Insurance is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Vogt as vice president, chief accounting officer and controller, effective July 1, 2024. In this role, he will be responsible for the company’s financial reporting, treasury and cash management, tax, and internal control functions. Vogt will report directly to UFG Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Eric Martin.
Vogt joins the company with over 20 years of financial services experience. He spent the past 10 years with an insurance company in Des Moines, where he most recently served as vice president (VP) and retail finance business partner. His other roles there have included: VP, financial transformation; VP, deputy chief accounting officer; and VP, chief audit executive. Prior to that, he worked in public accounting for 12 years, where he served in various ascending roles.
“Adam is a well-rounded finance executive with a diverse skillset and broad experience in leading various financial functions, including internal audit, financial reporting, and financial planning and analysis,” said Martin. “We are excited to welcome Adam to UFG and look forward to his positive contributions as a member of our leadership team.”

Vogt holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. He is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.
