Hurricane Harvey Employee Relief Fund

Released on: Sep 8, 2017, 08:44 AM
UFG establishes relief fund to help employees impacted by Harvey.

Hurricane Harvey has ended but recovering from the devastation it left behind is only beginning. UFG employs 125 people at our Gulf Coast regional office in the Houston area of Webster, Texas. Fortunately, all of our employees are safe and accounted for but approximately 11 suffered moderate to severe damage to their homes.

To assist our employees impacted by Hurricane Harvey, UFG has established an Employee Relief Fund. Contributions to our Employee Relief Fund are being accepted now through September 30, 2017. All contributions are tax deductible.

How can contributions be made?

• By Mail
Submit checks made payable to “United Fire Group” (indicate “Hurricane Harvey Employee Relief Fund” on the memo line) to:

United Fire Group
PO Box 73909
Cedar Rapids, IA 52407-3909
Attention: Dot Styre, Accounting

• By EFT
Complete our EFT Authorization Form and return it to UFG using the mail, fax or email listed on the form.

All employees impacted by Hurricane Harvey will have the opportunity to apply for disaster relief funds.
