Celebrate the act of giving back: Go Beyond nominations open through June 30

Released on: Apr 6, 2020, 12:00 PM
Former UFG Insurance President and CEO Scotty McIntyre, Jr. always viewed insurance as a people business. In his interactions with agents, policyholders and employees, he chose to go beyond the numbers to seek the human side.

In Scotty’s memory, UFG is gearing up to celebrate volunteerism and philanthropy for the fifth year in a row through its elite Go Beyond Award for employees and agents.

GO-BEYOND-LOGO“Maybe you know a UFG agent taking community service to a whole new level,” explains Katie Jensen, community relations coordinator. “Maybe it’s time to recognize a UFG employee who quietly dedicates time or treasure to make life better for those in need. No matter what the circumstance, we encourage nominations. After all, our world could use a heaping dose of inspiration right now.”

Both an agent and employee will be honored with a prestigious trophy, and UFG will proudly donate $5,000 to a nonprofit of each winner’s choice.

“Celebrating the work of nonprofits is at the fundamental heart of UFG’s values,” Jensen continues. “Our Go Beyond recognition is one way we can applaud compassionate service. As our society works to curb COVID-19 right now, it’s especially poignant to remember the significance of altruism.”

The Go Beyond nomination form is simple, quick and available online

In addition to volunteers, UFG sends a huge note of appreciation to all the essential workers out there going beyond every day!
