Staff Attorney




Are you ready to step back from the standard 80 hour work week and the burden of continuously building a book of business and managing billable hours?  Would you like to have the work come to you unsolicited and you can just simply enjoy practicing law while earning a steady salary with benefits?  To top it off, for the right candidate living in Southern California, a remote work location will be seriously considered. So, if you have extensive civil litigation experience with insurance defense in California courts, and this description sounds like something you are looking for, then perhaps our Staff Attorney opportunity may be right for you! 

  • Expertly litigate claims against insureds:  Prepare pleadings, initiate and respond to discovery, prepare cases for mediations and trials, perform legal research and legal writings.
  • Perform successfully persuasive negotiationsWork directly with insureds and claimants; Counsel Mediators and courts in settling losses.
  • Strategy EvaluationReview and discuss settlement values, defense tactics and strategies with adjuster. 
  • Communicate with AdjusterProvide adjuster regularly with written status reports to keep them advised of case.
  • Research and EducationKeep apprised of changes in law and court procedures. Comply with MCLE requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.




  • Must have:
    • A minimum of 4 years’ experience practicing law that must include extensive civil litigation experience with insurance defense in California courts
    • Clean DMV driving record


  • Preferred to have:
    • Jury Trial experience
    • Experience in paperless file environment, Westlaw research, and Microsoft Office.


Education Requirements:

  • Must have a law degree from an accredited college or university and licensed to practice in California
