The Usability Analyst role is designed to help our company provide a first class customer experience within our software products. This position will interact with the business and the technical teams to evaluate what makes a software product work well and provide a great end user experience. The ideal candidate will be an individual who is intuitive, creative and curious about human behavior and how they interact with our products. The role is responsible for turning these concepts into UI/UX design concepts for our products.






  • Designs and implements common user interface standards, system usability guidelines, design guidelines, and graphical user interface prototypes.
  • Lead design strategy activities to understand user needs and business opportunities to generate potential solutions.
  • Lead design activities to explore different approaches in search of the “best” experience that balances user needs and business goals.
  • Participate in design thinking meetings.
  • Work closely with team members and be involved in the most creative design functions, including UX research and usability, detailed wire-framing, prototyping and visual design execution.
  • Produce designs based on UX principles, client strategy, brand and creative guidelines, managing the planning and execution of user tests for improved UX.
  • Communicate usability approach and research to stakeholders from sophisticated design experts to non-designers.
  • Develop comprehensive UX concepts, including the definition of customer needs, task analysis, and the creation of personas, storyboards, scenarios, user flows and use cases.
  • Ability to communicate with the customer and other teams through storytelling and rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototyping
  • Define the User Experience through information architecture, wireframes and user flows and validate it through usability testing.
  • Create light-weighed and sometimes detailed specifications and style guides to supplement prototypes for our implementation partners.
  • Lead or contribute to the planning and facilitation of a variety of activities for client-facing workshops, audits, and stakeholder interviews
  • Work directly with customers and prospects to design end-to-end experiences selecting appropriate participatory and iterative design techniques including observational studies customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behavior and verify design concepts.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Responds positively and calmly to shifting priorities, demands, and timeline
  • Participate as a contributor and at times a leader with an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, design researchers, business analysts, technical and functional architects, and software developers.




  • Bachelor’s degree in human factors, human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology or related field. Or equivalent education and related training.
  • Has a minimum 3 -4 years of online usability experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience doing visual designs for responsive design systems over multiple platforms.
  • 3-5 years of experience doing user-centered designs in Web and mobile systems.
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop.
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and the ability to turn wireframes into actual frontend code.
  • Familiarity with Git.
  • Experience using website plugins that collect user feedback and use of that feedback to make site improvements.
  • Use of professional flow and diagram charting tools like Visio and Lucidcharts
  • Master’s degree in human factors, human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology or related field would be a plus.
